This page explains how to delete your Akhandam account and what happens to your
data when you do. It applies to the Akhandam mobile application, published by
Chaitanya Tapovanam (Android package com.akhandam.app).
The fastest way, and it takes effect immediately:
Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.
If you can no longer sign in, email ctapovan9@gmail.com from your registered email address, or include your registered phone number in the message, so we can identify your account. We will delete it within five working days and confirm once it is done.
All of the following are removed permanently:
Records of orders you have paid for — the invoice, the items, the amount, and the delivery address used at the time — are retained for up to eight years after the transaction. Indian tax and accounting law requires businesses to preserve their books of account, so we are not able to delete these on request.
These records are detached from your profile. They are no longer linked to a usable account, and they are not used for any purpose other than meeting our legal and accounting obligations.
Your phone number is released, so you are free to sign up again later. Doing so creates a completely new account — your previous profile, questionnaire answers, addresses, appointments, and order history will not be restored, and the app will take you through onboarding again.
